GOE MAKE DISCIPLES

GOE Ministries was born in 2014 when founder Andre Emmons began searching for a Christian-based AAU basketball team for his daughter. He wasn’t just looking for a team focused on winning and losing—but one rooted in sportsmanship, integrity, and most importantly, faith. He envisioned an environment where young athletes could grow not only in their athletic abilities but also in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
That first team became a powerful testimony. Andre witnessed each girl on the team grow in both faith and character. Every player professed a love for Christ and went on to attend college—a remarkable achievement that underscored the impact of a Christ-centered sports environment. Among them was Natasha Mack, who went on to star at Oklahoma State University and is now thriving in the WNBA.
The success of that original team sparked a larger vision: What if this same faith-based approach to sports could be replicated on a bigger scale? How many more young lives could be transformed through mentorship, discipleship, and a commitment to living for Christ?
With over 20 years of experience as a teacher, coach, and school administrator, Andre had seen firsthand the challenges students face when they lack guidance and mentorship outside the classroom. Moved by a deep conviction, founded the nonprofit organization E.T.E. (Educate. Train. Equip.)—a ministry designed to inspire and lead youth into a deeper relationship with God.
Through GOE Ministries, Andre and his team are on a mission to transform youth sports by raising up the next generation of Christian leaders. Their goal is to mentor young athletes and create an environment where faith is central—where youth are not just developed as players, but as disciples of Jesus Christ.
