GOE MAKE DISCIPLES
Our Story: From the Court to the Calling
E.T.E. (Educate • Train • Equip)/GOE Ministries was born in 2014 when founder Dr. Andre Emmons went searching for a Christian-based basketball program for his daughter. He wasn’t looking for a team that only focused on wins and losses—but one that valued faith, integrity, and sportsmanship as much as athletic performance. His vision was clear: create an environment where young athletes could grow in skill and in their relationship with Jesus Christ. That first team became more than a roster—it became a testimony. Andre watched each player mature in both faith and character. Every young woman developed a personal love for Christ and went on to college, proving that a Christ-centered approach to sports could produce both spiritual and academic success. Among them was Natasha Mack, who went on to shine at Oklahoma State University and is now thriving in the WNBA—a living example of faith meeting purpose. But that was just the beginning. The success of that original team ignited a larger vision:
What if this same faith-based model could reach beyond basketball—impacting more youth, families, and communities through mentorship, discipleship, and life training?
With over 20 years of experience as a teacher, coach, and school
administrator, Andre had seen firsthand the challenges students face when they lack guidance and consistent mentorship. That passion gave birth to E.T.E. (Educate • Train • Equip)—a nonprofit ministry designed to develop the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.Today, GOE Ministries and E.T.E. work hand in hand to empower the next generation through faith-based sports, leadership development, and life mentorship. Whether on the court, in the classroom, or in the community, our mission remains the same:
To educate minds, train leaders, and equip hearts to live for Christ.
Together, we’re raising up a generation of young people who play with purpose, lead with integrity, and live by faith.
